Committed punk drummer and guitarist needed
Energetic punk/rock band from Deal/Ashford all between the ages of 18 and 22. Looking for a committed drummer, and a guitarist around our age willing to travel, record, gig very often, and possibly tour. We are an established band with a two and a half hour set of songs under our belt, including covers by Green Day, The Clash, Rancid etc. Also, a lot of originals that you can check out on the myspace.
We have a rehearsal room in Ashford for the time being, and we have a lot of gigs lined at the moment. We gig almost every weekend, and we're wanting to take our band a step further.

Bass & Drummer wanted for Bluesy/rock start up
Progess is being made! We have a singer, guitarist and a keyboard player. We now want to find the right people, - drums and a bass player, (and others?) that play and can get along well to evolve this new band into a quality project with anticipated longevity. The set is yet to be decided but the general consenus is that songs will be drawn widely from the blues genre. We are in the age range 30 - 50s. We are currently based Ashford, Canterbury

Peoples wanted for band (or just general musical mayhem).
Nothing too serious, just a bit of a social giggle generally with the thought of the occasional gig at some point.
Age / experience / talent not as relevant as enthusiasm and a good sense of humor!
Currently we have a core of 4x 30something members (well, mostly 30something) for keys, 2x female vocals and bass. - Though if we can't find a drummer the bass may slip that way, leaving space for a bassist - dunno...
We generally play covers, though not always in the style that they were intended (there is a sort of acoustic leaning, sometimes with a bit of a skank to it), but are not averse to original material.
So if you think you fancy some sacrilegious murdering of other peoples music, or think you can add something, or point us in another random direction, then poke us a message !

Bassist wanted between the ages of 13-17
We are rock/pop band with three members from canterbury, sandwhich and broadstairs need a bass player between the ages 13 - 17!
We meet twice a month for regular practice and recording in thanet and spend the time we are not together working on material and then bringing it in when we meet. We are very keen to go get a demo done in the next month as our guitarist Joel is meeting the band Bowling For Soup in april and we fancy our chances geiving them a demo. We love to get our own material done and love to play it live but we also enjoy playing a few covers for a laugh, like rocking pop songs such as lady gaga.

Cool bass player wanted
Established covers band need a quality bass player. This position is suited to someone between 25 and 35 years old (roughly speaking).
We are based in a very busy bar on the border with Hobg Kong and China. Playing to the local expat community and business travellers.
We've been at thus location for 3 years now but have just lost our bass player.
Flights and visas will be covered. And you would live with the band in a 6 bedroom apartment paid for by the venue.
We need a good standard player who fits well in to a team. Please no egos.
The band is made up of 7 people. Lead guitar, rythum guitar, keyboards, drums, bass, vocals and a sound light tech.

Female Keyboard Player Wanted
New heavy rock/metal band have just played their first gig and need a female keyboard player for the next one in Southend in April. Current line up is 3 females (vox/guitar/bass) and 1 male. Based in Maidstone and Southend and due to rehearse somewhere halfway between the two but not on a weekly basis.

Dj/ midi controller operator wanted
We are a three piece band based in sandwhich, canterbury and broadstairs and we rehearse mostly in Ramsgate once a fortnight unless there is an upcoming gig, then we start practicing alot more.
We have a lead voalist who occasionley plays rhthym guitar, a lead guitarist and a drummer.
Rather than getting a bassist we were more interested in doing something different and having a dj/ someone who uses midi controllers and midi keyboards, bands who use this are band such as Lostprophets and Linkin Park. So we wanted a possible DJ who cud play little over dubs on a midi controller and maybe be able to play keyboard parts on a midi keyboard.

My sister sings backing harmonies and I play the Acoustic Guitar and sing. Recently we also got a bassist. We are looking for a Drummer to join a band. All songs are already written. Frontman/Vocalist, Drummer & Bass Player looking for a top-knotch Lead Guitarist to complete new line-up.
We're all older musicians. Experienced. Been the same 'unit' for 20 odd years.
This will be a relatively casual gig (some of us play in other units), no frantic rehearsal schedule or anything but there's a few gigs waiting so some preparation will be required fairly quickly.

Entry_para1:: Every Monday from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, the 'Universities at Medway Big Band' rehearses in The Medway Building (ground floor) at the University of Kent Medway campus at Chatham Dockyard (Pembroke site - ME4 4AG). We are very short of trumpet and trombone players and would also welcome additional saxophone players. We currently don't have a conga player either. You don't need to be a student to join and it is completely free! We play purely for enjoyment and we play several gigs a year, some on campus, some pub gigs and one big festival at the Canterbury campus in June. Our current age range is 18 to 62 and our ability ranges from a beginner with 6 months experience to a world class session musician.

Established indie rock band seeks frontperson
Hi, we are He Who Dares, an established indie rock band from Maidstone. We have been playing together for over 3 years and have gigged all over Kent and London, earning some excellent reviews, coming 2nd in a battle of the bands for bands in Kent, and earning record label interest.
We have recently parted ways with our frontperson on good terms, and are now looking for a replacement. We'd like someone aged between 18-28, male or female, who has a strong voice, good personality, is confident and can bring fresh ideas to practice. Playing an intrument is not necessary, but is an advantage, as is being able to write song lyrics. At the moment we have an albums worth of music written, and would allow our new frontperson to write lyrics for this music as they see fit. Being spontanious and coming up with ideas at jams is a big bonus.

Do you wanna get rocked? Experienced Rock Bassist Needed for New Pro Standard Def Leppard Tribute
This is a really exciting project with gigs and potential overseas gigs and mini tours available.
We are looking for a Bassist to replicate Rick Savage in what will be the most authentic Def Leppard tribute. Pro gear and attitude essential. We do not do this full time and all have day jobs but take the music seriously.
Saying this we are all outgoing without egos and are looking for somebody likeminded. Obviously dirty blond hair would be an advantage, however if its not there you must be prepared to wig up for the part.
We are urgent to fill this position but will not comprimise the project
As this is Def Leppard confident backing vocals would definately be a plus
This could be the most exciting new Tribute project to come out of the South of England this year so don't miss the boat!

New band (mixed male and female) formed last year from very experienced musicians seek a female rock singer for covers gigs starting in the spring/summer this year.
Opportunity to write some original music for the set too. We have plenty of contacts for festivals, bike rallies etc and will also do some pub gigs and we also have a booking for a large festival in June.

Snakebite - Europes top touring Whitesnake Tribute need guitarist for 2010 tour dates
Snakebite have now been playing for nearly 4 years and are regarded as the top Whitesnake Tribute Act. Having been featured in Claasic Rock Magazine as well as the Daily Express and many radio mentions they have just completed the 2009 Legends of Rock Tour around the O2 acedemy venues.
We are now looking for a talented guitarist with excellent technique, backing vocals and good stage presence. Snakebite do not play lead and rhythm guitarists and so you will have skills in both areas. We do not do this band as our main source of income though we do expect a professional approach.

It is essential that you have transport to get to and from rehearsals. For gigs that are long distance travelling, the band does have the Snakebus which is a 6 seater VW LT 35 long wheelbase van that has taken us to the 4 corners of the UK and beyond these shores. It is also worth mentioning that sometimes overnight stays away from home will be expected. These are all at weekends.
This band is a lot of fun and we will welcome the new member in. However from experience we will not accept overinflated egos, the band is a team and no member can ever be bigger than the band.

The Kingsdown Band now have a vacancy for a full time female vocalist to start after 20th of december when one of the female vocalists leave. commitment is essential for rehearsals once a week and also for gigs.
you need to be of a good vocal standard and being able to harmonise is a must as there are 3 other vocalists to work with. if you are interested in just money we are not the band for you as we all gig more for the enjoyment rather than the money although the money is an added bonus, we do all sorts of gigs from pubs to clubs and weddings to funeral wake's basically we will do almost anything anywhere so you need to be happy to travel if needs be, all other band members are to professional standard and a good fun bunch and easy to get on with.

Jazz / blues Guitarist wanted to form acoustic duo with sax player
Looking for a good guitar player to form a duo with sax player.
I have done all the gigging with bigger bands in my past and want to form an 'easy to manage' small outfit to do gigs around the Kent area. I play Tenor / Alto and Soprano sax and have recently being playing local gigs in the West Kent area to backing tracks in a few pubs / golf clubs etc.
Looking for a talented guitarist who can play rhythmically and percussively and has experience playing in acoustic / semi-acoustic environments.
Music wise, I am currently performing some of the 'real-book' standards as well as a range of swing and modern tunes in a light jazz style. So not for the gig for aspiring metal-heads!

We are a rock covers band playing Santana, Gary Moore-style rock and blues plus some mellow bits. All aged 35 - 55+ with several years experience. V democratic and no egos. Playing pub/club venues and we usually get repeat bookings, so can't be too bad! Vocals would be good but not essential.

We are a serious established function band with reputation to match. We take our music seriously and need a female singer to co-front the band providing lead and backing vocals. We currently perform 80 - 90 gigs per year and have a well stocked diary allready for 2010 and beyond! The ability to play either keys or guitar would be useful but not essential.

Guitarist Required for Covers Band
Guitarist required for covers band - backing vocals a definite plus! We rehearse near Cranbrook once a week and aim to do about 1 gig a month.
Our set includes material from Kaiser Chiefs, Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Radiohead etc.
Ideally we are looking for a very solid rhythm player, (we also have a lead player), but would be able to adopt a 'twin lead' for the right player!
We have a demo that we have recently recorded which I can make available on request.

Looking to form a Party/Function band

3 piece Rock/indie band looking for a frontman/woman
We are a lead guitarist, bassist and drummer from Maidstone/Sittingbourne, and have been together for 3 years. We've played many gigs over the south east and london and came 2nd in a local battle of the bands competition in 2008. We have potentially an album's worth of material already, plus over 30 covers.
We are looking for a new singer to front the band. Ideally aged between 18-30 and living locally with own transport. Los Salvadores need a new member!
Our mandolin player has left so we have a spare space in the van! We are interested in hearing from anyone who plays mandolin, banjo, cello, or any string instrument that could add to our sound.
We would also consider trumpet, euphonium or similar brass, and woodwind such as clarinet or flute if it fits!

You must be prepared for the commitment which comes from being in one of the busiest non-professional bands in Kent.
We gig across the UK most weekends, and while it's a massive amount of fun and we wouldn't swap it for the world, it does leave you less time for other stuff such as sleep, pets, life modelling, crime, watching cartoons, etc.
But we can promise big gigs in front of big audiences that get bigger every year. In 2009 we played to more than 1,000 at Galhampton's Party in the Park Festival and currently have more than 120 festival applications pending.
We are not money/fame obsessed lunatics, but we do want to take the band professional on our own terms when the time is right, and we are earning enough cash! We want to do this because being in a band is more fun than any other job we can think of.
We currently practice near Faversham but this is flexible, as we are based all over Kent, but the ability to get to practice is a must.

Hello people of Pepperland.
After my first successful recruitment campaign to gather together a set of fine musicians to play the tunes of my four protégées - no, not Dirk, Stig, Nasty & Barry but John, Paul, George and Ringo, I know find I still have a few places to fill!
So - how do you fancy joining the band? We aim to cover tunes of the Fab Four during their tenure in the Beatles as well as from the big split through to the solo careers
What am I looking for? Well, I'm on Bass (but still wanting to play guitar every now and then) so I need GUITARISTS who are happy to play electric or acoustic as needed and can also sing (and maybe take the bass if I fancy guitar on a song or two). I'm NOT looking for a lead singer who doesn't play guitar. that won't work :-( I want at least 4 lead singers but as you know, there are not many songs in this repertoire that don't have a single singer. Most if not all have at least two vocals if not 3 or 4 so for the most part - everyone will be singing.
I need also a KEYBOARD PLAYER. I say that because a pianist won't be enough. In my books, if you can play keyboards, then you can also play piano. You'll need to be able to sing too :)
We have the drums and the bass filled. We have a saxophonist too so any brass players out there fancy a shot?

Here are the requirements to quallify so to say lol
BASSIST : age range 18 - 25 , must have a good 1 - 2 yrs of Exp ( experience ) , must own there own guitars pics leads and peddles ( no worries about amps as amps are supplied at the studio ) obviously own transport will be needed or able to get the bus or train ( bus stops right outside of studio and train station is just a 10 min walk from the studio ) , chip-ins will be required ( £5 per member thats all and the drinks are free ) , only need to bring guitar , pics , leads and peds ( if have any ) as i said amps are supplied and a spare lead free of charge will be loaned to you if you forget a lead , practice would be one evening a week for 4 hours ..... and thats about it any questions then feel free to ask and i will help out all i can .
DRUMMER : age range 18 - 25 , have own kit
( including sticks ) , must have a good year or
2's EXP , must have own transport or able to get to practice by bus
or train ( no cabs as they cost too much ) , chip-in's are reqired

Established Function Band requires multi-talented musician
Due to the recent successes of The InterSeptors we are now looking to expand our line up. The band is extremely busy and will play around 100 gigs during 2010. This will include both a number of high profile corporate and prestigious Holiday Park gigs as well as at least European event and a mini Scandinavian tour. During 2009 we have headlined at several large Kent event, including Ramsgate Rocks. We have also played Rock On The Dock and the War & Peace show at The Hop Farm. We are sure to be booked to take a more active role in these events next year.
In preparation for 2010, we are now looking for a new musician to join us. This person should be either a Rhythm Guitarist or a Keyboard Player (We will happily consider other instruments). This person should be female, as we are looking for them to offer backing harmonies (Vocal)
You need to offer us commitment to the band, both for gigs and rehearsals. You should not be part of any other band or have other musical commitments that will stop you giving us 100%. We all have day jobs and understand that this does have to take priority during the working week.
You will join a highly professional outfit, that is growing in popularity. We are represented by several well established agents and will playing at several important "show cases" early next year. We have our own band transport that will take you to all gigs. Our PA is top notch and there will be no requirement for you to "buy in" to it. You will not have to be involved in the administration (financial or event arrangement) of the band as this is handled by outside professional bodies. Although we do a number of charity events during the year, you will receive payment for all other gigs, at the average market rate.
We do and will continue to play the local pub and club circuit, however during 2010 we will be concentrating on the larger events.
We are looking to finalise the band line up by the end of October, so that we can complete recording as well as return contracts to prospective event organisers.
Although we are all fully committed to the success of the band we can promise you an interesting and varied experience. It takes up alot of our time and bad band politics is NOT a factor. You will enjoy being a part of this band.

Female Singer required
We are a serious established function band with reputation to match. We take our music seriously and need a female singer to co-front the band providing lead and backing vocals. We currently perform 80 - 90 gigs per year and have a well stocked diary allready for 2010 and beyond! The ability to play either keys or guitar would be useful but not essential.
The easiest way to describe the material that we play is to say it is a mixture of Blues Brothers, Commitments type material with additions of Aretha, Motown, James Brown, charts etc etc. The successful applicant will reside in Kent as we rehearse regularly. This is an excellent position with a 12 year old band who have moved from strength to strength over the years.

Brutal Death,Grindgore, Hardgore band seeks line up
Hello, I have been recording under the same name over the past 10 years, released EP's on various underground labels, appeared on split CD's with some of the best and even managed to play live a couple of times with makeshift line ups. I am seeking people to try and make a solid gigging line up for future dates, guitarist, bassist, vocalist (I would like to try two vocalists)it doesnt matter what you want to do as I can take over any role needed to be filled. A drummer would be nice but not essential as I have a drum machine - please note that I said drum machine there so if playing along with it would be a problem please think about it before getting in touch, I will say though a drum machine wont get drunk and go out of time, demand more money or try to steal your girlfriend.
Influences are many but I'll throw some names out: Mortician, Impetigo, Repulsion, Autopsy, CBT, ENT, Raw Noise as well as other genres like Doom, Crust, D-Beat, Hardcore, Punk (not pop 'punk' though, we'll leave that to the rich boys). Melodic Doom Metal band needs a Lead Guitarist , 2nd Guitarist , Bassist , Drummer and possably Keybordist . We're called JAW FINGER well i say we're when i actually mean i called my new band JAW FINGER as i think it sounds super awsome . I'm a screamer / singer and have been doing vox for about 6 years now and have been in a couple of sucessful bands the last was a huge hit untill they kicked me out due to not agreeing with them on a change of band name sucks really but i did claim all of my lyrics back and sent them back to sqaure one as they nearly got signed lmao serves them right .
Anywho ........ i'm a huge fan of Doom Metal ( My Dying Bride being my fave ) and i love the way the music is played ( deep slow yet meaningful ) but i want a small twist to this band ..... i want to keep to the deepness and slowness but just a tad faster and unlike My Dying Bride i wanna add some low screams or growls in each track aswell as clean vox .
Here are the requirements to quallify so to say lol
LEAD and 2ND GUITARIST : age range 18 - 25 , must have a good 1 - 2 yrs of Exp ( experience ) , must own there own guitars pics leads and peddles ( no worries about amps as amps are supplied at the studio ) obviously own transport will be needed or able to get the bus or train ( bus stops right outside of studio and train station is just a 10 min walk from the studio ) , chip-ins will be required ( £5 per member thats all and the drinks are free ) , only need to bring guitar , pics , leads and peds ( if have any ) as i said amps are supplied and a spare lead free of charge will be loaned to you if you forget a lead , practice would be one evening a week for 4 hours ..... and thats about it any questions then feel free to ask and i will help out all i can .
BASSIST : basicly same as the guitarists really lol
DRUMMER : age range 18 - 25 , must know how to play double bass ( ok if you cant use double kick as not always nessasary ) , have own kit
( including sticks ) , must have a good year or
2's EXP , must have own transport or able to get to practice by bus
or train ( no cabs as they cost too much ) , chip-in's are reqired
( £5 per member for a 4 hour practice ) , only need to bring drum
sticks and double bass ped as kit is supplied unless gigging .
and i thik thats about it .
KEYBORDIST : aslong as you know how to play and you love metal then your basicly in as keys are very hard to find lol only prob is , is that you will have to bring full kit with all supplies as the studio doesnt own a keys set at all ( sorry ) oh and age range doesnt apply to a keys but it would help if your possably over the age of 18 to at the oldest .... 30 i think would cover it lol , also same applies to a keys player that own transport would be required ( sorry again )
ok now heres the hard part , all musicians must live in the areas of : ERITH , DARTFORD , SLADE GREEN , WOOLWICH , ELTHAM ,PLUMSTED , CRAYFORD ,
BEXLEYHEATH , WELLING , and places close to them .

Dedicated Rockabilly Guitarist wanted
Hi
We are looking for a dedicated rockabilly/rock n roll guitarist to come and play lead.
We are a 4 piece band (5 with a lead player), featuring upright bass, rythm guitar, drums and female lead singer (very much like Imelda May), but we need a Lead guitarist that knows and loves the music, so learning songs wont be a problem as you will already know of them!
Rockabilly lead guitar is a mixture of styles, mainly jazz, country boogie and up tempo blues, played on ideally a semi acoustic Gretsch (or similar) or a telecaster, in the style of people such as Chris Casello, Darryl Higham, Brain Setzer, Scotty Moore or Paul Birlison.
If you are intersted, we are trying to get our set together and have already played a couple of small gigs with more to come. We are based in mid Kent (for rehearsal purposes) and are looking for enthusiasm and commitment.

Looking for Noel and Mitch! (Drums and Bass wanted)
I'm a long hair white bloke (mature!) in a regular gigging band doing rock/blues...but I have a hankering to put together a hendrix project...so I'm just putting out some feelers. We (bass, guitar and drums) are just forming a covers band, using slightly unusual, but well known, songs to form the basis of a set list. Killing Tchaikovsky is currently a four piece band rocking up classical and contemporary music.

Drummer wanted for rock/ metal band
We are bass, guitar and vocals playing cheesey 80's rock covers but also influenced by the harder metal stuff from the likes of metallica, maiden, megadeth and pantera. All members are in late 20's and have own transport. Would ideally like to start writing our own stuff and get gigging again.

Guitarist needed
Dartford based band MDMA are looking for someone to replace their recently departed guitarist.
You'll join another guitarist. Have a listen at www.myspace.com/mdmamusic. We have a punk-rock hip-hop style, sort of zebrahead but our own british take on things.
We are 19-22 so similar age would be great but not essential.
One rule, you can give it on stage! None of these stand still look down at the guitar neck folk, you need to have some real fun!
You would be taking up a mix of rhythm and lead, but no shredding or anything like that.

Hello people of Pepperland.
Sgt. Pepper here on a recruitment campaign to gather together a set of fine musicians to play the tunes of my four protégées - no, not Dirk, Stig, Nasty & Barry but John, Paul, George and Ringo.
How many of you can confess to being inspired to take up your musical instrument because of these four lads?
I was watching young Mr. McCartney's DVD "The Space between Us" and it occurred to me that all the songs of the "Fab-four" during their time in the band and their subsequent solo careers would provide a vast catalogue of tunes for any fine musicians to play to their hearts content. Songs that would tug the heart stings of the listener and would cause them to sing along to every word! I might even get you to learn a few ditties from the "Prefab-four" as well!
I don't want to recruit people who want to tell me about their gigging experience or about their flexi-watchamacallit-double-wobble-valve-top Amplification. If you have an instrument and you know how to play it - you'll do for me. If you can double on instruments (a little bit of rotation never hurt anyone) and you can sing - all the better! In fact - if you're gonna be one of the singers, you'll need to play an instrument. You won't need to look like any of the Fabs although a drummer with a big nose might be good :-) You won't even need to wear clothes akin to the lads either although a fine Pepper uniform might suit you "Suits you sir!"
Sgt. Pepper needs you! Do you fancy being part of The Lonely Hearts Club band? Then The Lonely Hearts Club Band needs you.
Get in touch. There is much fun to be had as well as much love oh and undoubtedly much friction. Alas good music is not borne without friction but let's ride the rollercoaster while we have the energy!
Who should apply? Guitarists, drummers, bassists, keyboardists/pianists - will even contemplate brass section (sax/trombone/trumpet). Naturally age and gender are irrelevant here although anyone less than 18 might need to get consent from an adult! Once I get enough interest, I'll get back in touch and arrange a "taster day" for all to come along and jam!
Don't put it off any longer. Be part of the next big wave in south east Kent

Cuckoo's Rest raises vital funds for national military charity
The landlord's of a Hellingly pub is organising a summer festival of music and entertainment to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 27th.
Paul Rew & Les Martin, who run the Cuckoo's Rest in Station Road, has pledged to donate 30p per pint of the days sale to the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) Forces Help.
There will be fun for all the family with entertainment including a village fete and street party, live mu¬sic, games, raffle and tombola and organisers are urging the local community to get involved.
Paul said: "We thought it was really important to stage an event for Armed Forces Day locally and pay tribute to both current and former servicemen and women.
"We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in getting involved, either by running a stall or donating raffle prizes and we hope lots of people will come along on the day and enjoy the party at-mosphere.
"SSAFA Forces Help supports thousands of people every year and it is a cause very close to our hearts. We are hoping to raise £5,000 to help the charity continue its vital work."

Hi. My name is Lee Thompson (36) and I am a singer/songwriter/guitarist looking for a lead guitarist to join my little outfit (currently myself, bassist and drummer). The music is largely acoustic based but certainly not constrained to that genre. I am currently working with another songwriter writing songs for my upcoming album which I plan to release later this year on a local label in Whitstable (RMS Records).
