Sandip Chakravarty aka Sandyman a musician and  owner of  Guru Soundz has started teaching Tabla through Skype. Lesson provided to anyone from any part of the world.

 A 60 minute virtual class is held once weekly for each student  and provide an opportunity for the student to learn from the comfort of their home. You can live anywhere in the world Classes are conducted using video conferencing software and students participate through use of a computer, microphone headset, and webcam.

English traditional music classes - Gun & Spitroast, Horsmonden, Kent

Learn to play traditional tunes for music sessions and dancing in the company of other beginners. Play slowly and practice whatever's causing difficulty for you. Join fiddler, concertina and melodeon player Gavin Atkin at the Gun & Spitroast pub at Horsmonden, Kent (TN12 8HT) on the SECOND and FOURTH Wednesdays of each month at 8pm until the summer. This year the first class is on Wednesday 28th September.

Usually we have a class for a couple of hours or so, followed by whatever playing people feel like, or even just chatting. Admission is free. Typical instruments might be melodeon, fiddle, concertina, mandolin, harmonica, whistle or banjo, but we'll be just as happy if you pitch up with percussion (say, a triangle, tambourine, cajon, or snare and hi-hat) or  a saxophone or an electronic piano. Reading music isn't necessary, though it definitely helps! Feel free to join us at any point through the year - we do play our tunes very slowly to begin with, and play only a two or three over and over again on any given evening!

Drums / Percussion Workshops

Drummer / Percussionist available for School / Party Workshops. I already teach in several 'special schools' in the Kent area, and have done a few private party percussion workshops (Although they do tend to get a bit noisy!). CRB checked, and with 25 years experience behind me. My approach is as much about fun as it is education, and my 'hands on' approach has proved successful.

I cover all styles of Drumming from early Jazz / Blues to the modern favourites (Green Day, Rolling Stones etc) and usually have a novice playing a song by the end of the workshop! Drumming isn't as difficult as it sounds, and by de-constructing it and rebuilding it, the pupil soon learns how to play. I have a full range of equipment (Pro Drum Kit, percussion items) and transport.
